The 8 Day Challenge: Part 4

Finally on the last post of my 8 day challenge!! Both days were just outfits for going to classes. The seventh day of the challenge was the first day with my new shoes from Shoe Cult by NastyGal! See my post here. I wore my black Zealand Sandals with a loose black tank from F21 and red else jean shorts. (Notice my large supply of Blow Pops in the third picture. They definitely helped me get through finals week!)

The last day of the challenge was the first completely dry day we had in a long time, so I took the opportunity to wear my suede Jeffrey Campbell Venice wedge sneakers. I wore them with a simple Obey t-shirt from Urban Outfitters (the men's section, on sale for $5!) and acid wash jean shorts. I also added some of my favorite accessories :)

I hope you enjoyed this post and the challenge as a whole! I had a lot of fun doing it and maybe I'll do another soon! Let me know what you thought in the comments.

Space Pineapples

If you've seen my march haul, you know that I am obsessed with this dress and couldn't wait to wear it. It's by Motel but I bought it online at NastyGal (check the original post for links). The print is insane and the colors are amazing, even more vibrant in person. It manages to be tropical and cosmic at the same time which is a crazy combination, hence the space pineapples. I wore this outfit with my Calvin Klein heels; they are strappy and snake-embossed for a little edge. I also carried my studded Deux Lux clutch from the march haul.

I hope you like this short post, I felt it was a necessary outfit to share because this dress is just too perfect!

The 8 Day Challenge: Part 3

Part 3 is here!!! For the fifth day of the challenge I wanted to wear this tank that I bought a few years ago at Nordstrom's. It has a crazy random pattern, but is super comfy and matches everything. I paired it with my denim shirt from forever 21, Guess capris and my Aldo moccasins. Enjoy my silly pictures:

It was finally warm for the sixth day of the challenge!! I broke out my new faux leather moto vest from NastyGal! (check it out in my super awkward vlog here) I wanted to keep it simple since I was going to class, so I wore it with a plain tank from American Apparel, Else jean shorts, and my Jeffrey Campbell Flavia High sneakers in Leopard print. I lived in these shoes for weeks after I got them, they are the most amazing things ever. And I also my favorite necklace, which is a neon yellow triangle on a gold chain from Francesca's. Possibly my favorite look from the 8 Day Challenge!

I hope you enjoyed this update! The last part should be posted soon.

The 8 Day Challenge: Part 2

Here is part two of my 8 Day Challenge! Click here for part one!  I also apologize, I didn't realize how crooked my mirror was.

For the third day of the challenge I wore this crop top from Forever 21. It has a cool design with triangles (idk why but I love triangles) and a cosmic feel. Underneath I had a simple black cami because I was going to class and didn't feel like having my stomach out. I also wore capris actually, but they are long enough to tuck into my rain boots because it was probably raining again, like it did for weeks at a time.

The fourth day of the challenge was cooler so I wore this patterned moto jacket from Free People. It's super soft, almost like a stretchy sweatshirt material and it's surprisingly warm. The top I wore underneath is from Akira and it's long sleeved with a cool cutout hood detail on the back. I wore basic black skinny jeans and studded combat boots from Miz Mooz.

I hope you enjoyed this edition of my 8 Day Challenge and final two parts will be coming soon!

NastyGal Shoe Cult

NastyGal FINALLY came out with their own shoe line! And I don't say finally because they've been delayed or have teased it for a long time, but obviously I'm obssessed with shoes and I needed to prove this equation true:

NastyGal + Shoes = Pure Fashion Gold

No mathematical proof needed, I think the shoes speak for themselves. They're so cute and affordable that I had to buy some for myself! I bought two pairs, the Faye and the Zealand, both in black, which are pictured below along with some of my other favorites from the collection. I will do a review of them later but for now, here are some of my Shoe Cult by NastyGal favorites:

The Bermuda Sandal: I love the triangles on the clear straps and the gunmetal color. A great alternative to black!

The Vanish Sandal: A more affordable option to the Jeffrey Campbell's with the ombre lucite heels. I love the simple to and ankle straps. They make a statement but are classy at the same time.

The Zealand Sandal in Black, Neon Yellow, and White: I love all of the colors these sandals come in. I bought the black because I thought they would fit my wardrobe the best, but I think the neon yellow would have been really fun! I love the chevron detail on the ankle strap. So cute!

The Isis Wedge: I love these brown wedges. Sky high and so fun for summer!

The Faye Platform Pump: This heel also comes in a poppy red and a white and black option, but here is the plain black style. I love the double ankle strap and pointy toe. They are similar to L.A.M.B. heels, but you can get this equally adorable option from NastyGal for a third of the price!

I hope you enjoyed my picks from Shoe Cult by NastyGal. I can't wait to bring you my review soon!

I'm Delusional

I apologize for being so MIA lately. It's finals week at school and I just finished taking the third of my five exams. I have been studying (or attempting to study) pretty much constantly for the past few days and I haven't had time to blog. It's safe to say my brain is broken at this point but hopefully I will get a post up tonight. I definitely have a bunch coming this weekend though so hold tight!

daily inspiration: mollie king of the saturdays

I love The Saturdays; their music is fun and fresh, they have great voices, and they're all gorgeous. Since they've been in the media more and more lately, I've noticed that they have great style too! Mollie King, one of the five members of The Saturdays, is a gorgeous blond with a tiny figure and a huge voice. What's not to like? She's also been wearing cute, on trend outfits lately, so here are some of my favorites:

Here's Mollie on a night out with the Saturdays, celebrating their first number 1 UK single. I love the subtlety of the dress. The white and grey create a geometric color-blocking effect without being too graphic. I also really like her neutral accessories which keep the look super clean.

Here's another simple outfit on Mollie that is easy for any girl to try. Printed pants are on trend right now and they're effortless with plain accessories and tops. The graphic print is really loud so she kept the rest of the outfit monochromatic. Too easy!

Mollie has a great figure and crop tops are a great way to show off a little skin! This look is tropical and fun, great for spring and summer!

This dress is so fun! I love how the whole outfit has different prints, especially the leopard in Mollie's booties, but they're all monochromatic black and grey so they don't clash. The prints are fun and youthful, but the lack of color keeps it from looking childish. I think the interesting cut of the neckline also makes it more sophisticated and on trend. Love it!

This simple jumpsuit is perfect on Mollie. The subtle plunge of the neckline is just barely there, so it's visible but not risque. And the plain black goes great with the color and length of her blond hair.

Here's a great travelling outfit. Mollie is wearing leather or faux leather pants to travel, which are not the most comfortable in my opinion. But if you'd like to try out this look, you can easily replace the leather pant with a skinny jean or legging. A loose button-up is comfortable but still looks put together. I may have to try this next time I go on vacation!

This last look is really simple and chic. There's not much to say other than I love Mollie's two-toned leather jacket! Super cute!

I could probably ramble all day long about her style haha. She's really great at pulling off monochromatic outfits without looking boring. Maybe it's her blond hair or classy style, but regardless she's definitely one of my favorite style icons! I linked the original image from Zimbio in every description in case you want to check that out. I hope you enjoyed this installment of daily inspiration!
