if you've ever needed fashion advice, this is it:

I stumbled upon this blog today called Alright Blondie written by a spunky blond bombshell from the UK. Other than the fact that she is gorgeous and I would kill for her wardrobe, she has a great sense of humor and I totally connect with her fashion advice. On this post titled "ON NOT GIVING A F***: why you should wear the things that scare you the most" she gives the fashion advice I give my friends every time we go shopping together. Obviously her delivery is much better than mine and she's hilarious (which I'm not). Here's an excerpt:

"Confidence is key. Always. Thats not a revalation its an age old statement. However as an excerpt of fleet i suggest that, whilst wearing such a garment, the trick is to pretend that you were literally born with it on. See the pictures above. You see.. I truly think that I came out of the womb like this, chain link on bellybutton, flower crown on head. In fact when I condition my hair, I also condition my flowers. You have to literally forget that you have it on. You have to get into character, play dress up, you are Frieda Khalo and don't ever forget it. Pick an identity, stick to it and live on the moral that it was, after all, created for you to wear so it has a fucking right to be there."

This is one of her most humorous paragraphs but she does offer a lot of quality advice. She also mentions a Type A person, one that will condemn you for wearing unique things now, but in a few years when it's all the trend, they'll be wearing it like with as much gusto as the rest. My advice? Don't be this person. You are free to wear what you want and have your own opinions, but let other's have theirs too. Allow people to embrace their own fashion likes and don't condemn them for it! That way, in a few years when you're stealing their style, you can look them in the eye and not feel like shit. And maybe they can tell you where they got that bizarre-yet-adorable bolo tie you thought was so weird not too long ago. This leads me to another post called "DIY X Girl Power"  addressing this topic of mutual fashionista respect. And if you love her writing as much as I do, I found this post equally hilarious. Enjoy!
