Summer Style Is Here

It's finally warm out! It was 75 degrees here today and everyone on campus was decked out in their summer clothing. The celebs seem to be ready for summer too because bright colors and bare legs have been out among the stars. Take a look at some of my favorite outfits in anticipation fot summer:

Savannah Jayde at the Kids' Choice Awards

Alessandra Ambrosio at Coachella

Olivia Wilde at Marie Claire

Annasophia Robb at Macy's Retrospective of Madonna

Olivia Holt at the Radio Disney Awards
(sorry this is an awkward picture, it's the best I could find and I love this dress!)

Try adding some of these pieces to your own summer wardrobe!

March Shopping Haul!

My first haul! While I was home on Spring Break I got two packages in the mail, one from Nasty Gal and another from boohoo. I was also able to go to the mall, but I only picked up a few things there because I don't want to be broke... haha. I don't think I'll be doing many of these since I am a "poor college kid" without a job but when I am able to shop I will share it with you! I didn't want to do just a normal post with this because I really wanted to show you more accurately what the items look like and what I thought about them, so I made a youtube video! Check it out:

I apologize for being super awkward in this video, especially at the beginning haha it was my first vlog so I'm still getting used to it. I definitely want to make more, bring my personality to them, and make them fun! Please like the video and leave a comment there or here becuase I may need a little encouragement! So bear with me and check back soon for another video!

If you want any of the stuff I showed you I have added the links to the products I could find below:

Possible Vlog!

So no one has commented on my last post... I'm starting to think no one actually reads what I write...

Anyways! I have had a March Haul post sitting in my queue, waiting to be written. But I haven't gotten to it because I'm just not sure how to go about it. So then I started thinking, why not make a video so I can show you the clothes and describe them! So I think I'm gonna do that. Hopefully tomorrow I can film it. But just to give me some encouragement and let me know you're out there, please comment below! You can comment anonymously too in case you're shy haha thanks so much friends :)

UPDATE: so I filmed the vlog but I still have to edit it and get it uploaded so please be patient with me! But I am super excited for my first vlog and can't wait to share it with you :)

LOOKBOOK update: vol. 7

I'll make up for being so MIA lately by posting twice today! haha lookbook has been kind of crazy with so many different kinds of posts, from winter to summer looks and everywhere in between, so this might be a random post... but anyways, here's a lookbook update. Enjoy!

She's wearing a turban and a black shaggy coat. 'Nuff said. Check it here

I love the intricate skirt that Aneta wears here and how she kept the rest of the outfit simple. It works for so many different occasions.

Floral shorts are so cute for summer! And a light and loose crop top is perfect to top them off. I love how she paired the two with black accessories and shoes to give it an edgy feel. See Alana's look here

Another look from Aneta! I love these floral leggings and how she keeps it simple with a black sweater and black boots. But then she throws in the leopard backpack which completely contrasts the floral leggings. Because they're not right on top of one another and they both go with the black top I think this works great. I have to say I've been doing this a lot with my leopard shoes and random pattered tops, separated by jeans/plain leggings/shorts. Try it! Definitely a fun look.

It wouldn't be a lookbook update without "Slim" Shay D. I love this dress on her. Because she's not super chest-y the cutouts aren't too risque and I love how she just added a simple pair of black heels with red soles (Louboutins maybe?). Too perfect!

I think this is my favorite look of this post. The leather skirt is just so cool and geometric, an interesting twist on a wardrobe staple. The sweater is absolutely adorable and I like how it contradicts the skirt.  Plus she's eating a popsicle haha. See Kavita's look here

This look is perfect for summer. I love the top and have thought about buying a similar one from Motel. I love how Trixia pairs it with deep indigo shorts to pull out the purple in the top. It's also cool that the shorts are printed but it's subtle so it doesn't distract from the beautiful top. Looove it!

daily inspiration: Danielle Bernstein of We Wore What

If you are at all familiar with the world of fashion blogging then you've probably heard of We Wore What by Danielle. It is definitely one of my favorite fashion blogs to follow and I would kill to have her closet. She inspires me so much that I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go overboard with these pictures and this is gonna be a really long post... sorry in advance! Here are some of my favorite looks of Danielle's from her blog:

she mixes plaid and leopard... and it works...

She even pulls off this fish tank suit... I mean c'mon she's amazing...

New Season Swimwear

How could a girl not be excited for the summer weather with all of these cute bikinis on sale at Nasty Gal? Even though I probably won't be buying any of this swimwear (I'm super picky about how swimsuits fit), I will definitely keep these incredible trends in mind when I shop in the stores!

Obviously I'll do the best first! This one piece is INSANE. it is soooo freaking cool! This is the Pentagram Swimsuit bt Chromat, hence the star shape on the chest (in case you missed it). I love the shape of the straps across the stomach, they really add or accentuate shape while still being geometric. I also like how it's plain black because it doesn't look like too much effort. So sick!

I love the back of this bikini. It's so simple but I'm obsessed with that little triangle right at the top of the bottoms. If you look really closely you can see that it's actually little black stripes in a triangle shape. Why don't we see that on more bikini bottoms? The front is really cool too. Check it out here

When we think of a modern-day bikini we don't think of something that's particularly covering, but this cool bikini top has a super high neck while still being super cute. You may get some weird tan lines while wearing it but I think it pretty cool (it has the same back as the one above!) Here's the Coral Bikini:

I love the look of crochet swimwear but it's kind of unreasonable to think you can wear an entire bathing suit made only out of loosely woven little strings... well maybe that's just me but even so the Day Dreamer Swimsuit is a good alternative! The front and bottoms are regular non-see-through swimsuit material and the back is crochet. And it's mint colored! Too cute!

Lastly, here is a fun print for the summer! This Disco Ball pattern is available in bikini and monokini options. Super fun and the perfect staple for summer!

I hope you enjoyed this post and check out Nasty Gal's Swimwear for more fun summer pieces!
