LOOKBOOK update: vol. 4

It's that time again... the inspiration for this lookbook update is an easily accomplished outfit. Basically each picture is like a little outline for a cute outfit which you can probably put together with everything in your closet! So here we go...

Every girl has a little black dress, right? For this outfit take your casual LBD (or any color really) and layer it with an oversized cardigan or button-down. In this case, Trixia is wearing a loose vintage blouse in a gorgeous purple color to balance her tight mini dress. Add simple accessories and you've brought new life to a simple dress!

This is such a no-brainer when it comes to making an outfit. If you're like me and you like sweaters with crazy prints (most likely from a thrift shop) it's best to keep the rest of the outfit simple. Here, Imogen takes a sweater that is difficult to match and pairs it with a simple white tee and black skinnies. Heeled ankle booties in a subtle color make it perfect for the winter or fall!

This is an alternative take on a similar look. Printed jeans are great and who doesn't love a cheeky graphic tee? Put the two together with neutral accessories and you're ready to go! The minimalist metal necklace that Bernadette is wearing here is on trend right now with lots of the belts and other accesories we've been seeing lately on celebrities, but I also love how versatile and easy these accesories are to wear with any outfit!

Most of us probably don't have a crazy-cool caged skirt laying around at home like "Slim" Shayla D. But this is another example of how you can vamp up a simple dress. Layering sheer or cutout skirts over dresses is easy and can transform an entire look! Match it with some accesories in the same color and you have a whole new outfit.

The last outift may be the easiest and most comfortable. Only three basic elements are needed: denim, a t-shirt, and converse. You can add a hat and switch out the converse for any other sneaker. Or try out Caroline's style and bring it some flair with acid wash or studded denim. The options are endless!
